The former Osun United forward, fired in when the opposing side' goalkeeper spilled the ball, leading to a goal mouth melee, which the left footer benefited from.

The Lekan Salami Stadium witnessed a commendable turn out, with the Executive Governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, leading the Oluyole Warriors' faithful,  which included members of his cabinet, members of the Oyo State House of Assembly as well as other government functionaries to the arena.

The opening minutes of the game, saw the homers, making a number of forays into the visitors' goal area but none of the incursions could hit the target.

The Ibadan soccer lords, resumed from where they stopped in the first half, increasing the tempo, apparently due to the pep talk received from governor Seyi Makinde,  who addressed them at the dressing room during the interval.

Ekiti United, apart from defending well, also made use of time wasting tactics to frustrate 3SC, who had a numerical advantage, after an Ekiti United player got the marching order for using a foul language against referee.

As the game dragged to the latter stages, coach Edith Agoye made changes in the attack, bringing in the duo of Mohammed Mohammed,  Chibedu Enuademu and later Awujola Sadiq, to increase the pressure on the stubborn Ekiti United rear.

The changes paid off as Enuademu finally getting the solitary goal, eight minutes from time to earn the Oluyole Warriors a well deserved win.

The victory ensured 3SC maintain their lead on the log, going into the Christmas and New Year break, garnering 13 points from five matches, secured from four wins (three homes and one away) and a draw, which they got on the road.

The Ibadan soccer lords, resume their quest for promotion on January 12, with another home fixture against Dynamite FC.
