GOV OKOWA PRESEASON TOURNEY: Our Target Is To Return To The Continent - Mike Idoko

Lobi stars made it three wins out of three matches at the ongoing Governor Okowa Preseason Tournament in Asaba after they defeated Remo Stars 2-1.

Speaking after the game Vice Chairman Mr Mike Idoko has disclosed that the target of his side is to return to the continent while stressing that his side is not yet there despite their impressive display at the ongoing tournament.

"Like every other teams will say,  they all want to play on the continent, we planned and almost got it last time but the loss of our Technical Adviser a week to the NPFL Classification playoffs had a psychological effect on the team which made us lose out

" This season it is our desire to return Lobi stars to the continent and I know by the special grace of God plus the quality of the players we have recruited   with a Coach like Gbenga Ogunbote we will go back to the continent".

He continued by saying that his side is yet not there as they will continue to strive to be the best within and outside the country.

"Lobi stars is a team in progress aside the teams that partook on the continent I don't think any team is ready for the commencement of the new season,

" Though we have produced some eye catching results during our preseason tournaments we will not be carried away as I believe that the coaching crew know what to do in order to get the team ready to challenge for honors next season, he concluded".
