GOV OKOWA PRESEASON TOURNEY: Lobi Stars March On To Semi Finals In Style

Goals from Chinedu Udeagha and Abdulkareem Mumini secured a 2-1 win at the Stephen Keshi Stadium for Lobi Stars against Remo Stars on Monday afternoon - with nine points guaranteeing their place at the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney last four.

With one match left for the Pride of Benue in Group B, they joined Rivers United in the semi finals.

For Remo Stars, they bowed out of the competition with some positives despite picking a point and suffering three defeats.

In a first half of many chances, Ibrahim Yusuf stole in to power home from close range after Danlandi Isah couldn't save Akemini Kingsley's attempt.

The Makurdi side rallied and Chinedu Udeagha levelled on 25 minutes. The former Rangers and Enyimba midfielder cut in from the left and delivered a shot to the bottom corner.

Substitute Abdulkareem Mumini scored a fantastic winner five minutes after the hour. The fair skinned forward netted from a goal mouth scramble for his second goal of the tournament.
