Kwara United assistant coach Ashifat Sulyman has reiterated the desire of the technical crew to fix a good team for the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League season.

The Harmony Boys surprisingly suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cynosure FC at the ongoing Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney on Friday.

United dominated possession but failed to make it count and subsequently crashed to Onyeka Okoro's sixth minute screamer.

The team created 10 chances and failed to convert any of the opportunities at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

"We are trying to fix a good team. We selected 33 players for the Pre season tournament in Asaba. We played an entirely different team today (Friday) with the aim of assessing how ready they are for the tasks ahead," the coach popularity known as "Brazil" told Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney Media.

The technical crew has noticed some lapses from the first game and hope to get better in subsequent matches.

"We aren't disappointed because we are trying to see the players. Screening still continues. We want the best for the team.

The Harmony Boys are yet to find the back of the net so far in Asaba and the coach is worried about the precarious situation.

"We are seriously looking at ways to fix our forward line which gives us enough reasons to be concerned.

"The idea is to find a lasting solution before the Nigeria National League season begins," he added.

Kwara United have picked one point from two games in the Gov Okowa Pre Season Tourney.
