In a bid to engage grassroots coaches in training, seminars and clinics on the trend of modern day football, JC International Academy has concluded plans to set-up a Coaching School here in Nigeria.

According to Dr. Joseph Ogunsanya the Chairman of JC International Football Academy The great Vision of setting up Citadel of Learning for both Coaches and Players started when i took the ODP team
(Olympic Development Program) of US u16 National team for Gothia Cup in Sweden and we decided to have same global standard facilities here in Nigeria.

"It is our second year of having our Coaching Clinic, the future of any country’s national team begins with imparting knowledge in  grassroots coaches and based on the feedbacks of the coaches that attended the last edition, it is very Paramount for us to extend the days for learning and we need a place to put them to learn their art and craft.

" I discussed with my wife and also the management of the academy that there is a need for a week long coaching clinic so we need a hostel where we can camp over 40 coaches, take a good look at Nigeria we only have just one National Coaching school- Nigeria Insititute for Sports (NIS), compare to other countries and we are trying to make a model of Ajax Amsterdam where coaches can train for over a month, we would also have a conference room for Visuals and Lectures room.

We also plan not to keep our players more than two years before we move them out.

"These players are talented but they play more of street soccer and lack the basic football knowledge.

"So we want to train them in the right way how to play and move them to division one or two here in Nigeria, also tryouts in Europe like the Gothia Club in Sweden, Texas Tournament in USA, we would never take players money or keep them for a very long time."

He Concluded by appreciating Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu former MFM FC Coach now with Heartland Football Club, Coach Hakeem Busari of Gateway Football Club for their support by impacting this grassroots coaches by giving them right way of coaching and adding value to the less privileged, we also hope to meet with Nigeria Football Federation Executives soonest so we could make our plans effective and efficient.
