The General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun, has warned the players of the Oluyole Warriors against over celebrating qualification for the playoff.

Speaking with the players, the technical crew and other officials of the club moments after a 3-0 whitewash of Giant Brillars of Enugu, earned the team the play off ticket, he counselled them to shift focus to the playoff.

"I must congratulate all of you for scaling the the first hurdle, it is worth celebrating though, but at the same time, let me tell you that we are not there yet.

"While we are basking in the euphoria of topping our group, let's not forget that the real test is ahead of us and that is the playoff.

" You must all have it at the back of your mind that what happened to us at the Super 8 last season, will not happen this time around.

"Nothing will be so good, than for us to go to Asaba and finish well, the good works we have started since the beginning of the season", said the astute football administrator, who had previously made marks with Stationery Stores, Julius Berger, both of Lagos, Dolphins of Port Harcourt and Sunshine Stars of Akure.

Ekulekule, as Balogun is fondly called, attributed the success of the team in the regular season of the Nigerian National League (NNL) to the support and commitment of the Oyo State Government, under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde, to the course of the club.

He equally saluted every stakeholder as well as the supporters and fans of the club, for their unflinching backing, which to a large extent, contributed to the good run of the Oluyole Warriors.

Balogun, reassured the government and good people of Oyo State of promotion ticket back to the elite league, urging them to keep supporting the club, for that goal to be achieved.
