In form Shooting Stars Sports (3SC) of Ibadan, will aim at continuing with their impressive run when they take on Katsina United in a 2019 Aiteo Cup Round of 32 match.

The encounter, billed for the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja, is holding four days after the Ibadan soccer lords secured a vital point against Bayelsa United, in Yenagoa in an NNL debacle.

Basking in the euphoria of that positive result, the Oluyole Warriors will take to the pitch with confidence, to disunite Katsina United, who managed to survive the drop from the apex league to the lower cadre.

The players, according to the captain, Omololu Waheed, have put behind them the Yenagoa match as they are poised to secure a round of 16 ticket in the Aiteo Cup, at the expense of their northern opposition.

"We are going into this match with high morale, thanks to the result we got against Bayelsa United in Yenagoa last Sunday.

However, this is a different ball game, we are meeting a side that is competing in the topflight. We respect them but we are not afraid of them.

"Already, we have put the good outing at Yenagoa behind us, our focus now is the game against Katsina United. Our backers are expecting a good result and we will not let them down", said the 3SC  defence marshal.

A tight game is in the offing this afternoon, as Katsina United, would also be eyeing victory to forge ahead in the competition and will therefore, put in all they have to dim the Stars, who have remained unbeaten in their last 11 competitive games.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 4.00pm.
