Draws for the second edition of Udom 2019 Unity Football Championship was held on Monday at Uyo township stadium.
Coach Charles Bassey, who served as the chairman of the draws, said 28 teams have so far registered for the competition and they have been divided into 6 groups as well as different centres.
He said the tournament will begin on Sunday with an opening match which would be played between Mbo and Oron Local Government Areas.
The tournament coordinator, Mr. John Ekpenyong, said championship which is the second edition of the competition, is organized by grassroots Sports Federation in support of Governor Udom Emmanuel for his contributions to sports in the State.

He maintained that the second edition will be targeted at discovery budding talents in every nooks and crannies of the State, adding that the tournament would also be used as a platform to mobilize teeming football youths in the State to rally around Governor Udom Emmanuel for his re-election bid.
In his words, "We are using this championship to galvanize support for the Governor." Ekpenyong warned teams to adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the championship. Six centers have been created for the tournament.
The State Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Football Association, Mr Emmanuel Ibah commended the organisers of the tournament and promised to support the tournament till the end.
Meanwhile, seven committees for the competition have been inaugurated. They are: Technical, Venue, Protocol, Mobilisation, Welfare, Publicity, and Accommodation.
