Brown Ideye relaxing in his hotel in Lagos
before departure for Club duties
The turbulent waters that kept troubling the Nigerian football scene do not pretend that they will abate soonest;  it is really pathetic and disheartening that the Super Eagles of Nigeria crashed out of the world cup in the first round after several hopes and spending so much money that might not likely be accounted for or give proper details of the financial position.

Samson Siasia inabilities to qualify Nigeria Super Eagles for the 28th Edition of the African Cup of Nations 2012 co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, made the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) appoint Late Coach Stephen Keshi as Siasia’s replacement, making it the 38th time the country would be engaging in coach – changing activities since independence; and the 13th indigenous coach to handle the Super Eagles.

Coach Stephen Keshi qualified Nigeria for South Africa and won the trophy for the first time in 19 years and the country’s treble of the trophy and speaking with one of the star player who was also part of history with the Super Eagles team in South Africa Brown Ideye, he stated categorically that our footballing system in Nigeria requires urgent Surgery, we need someone to bring life into the system, we lack adequate football management.

Speaking with in Lagos, Brown Ideye said "Winning the trophy in 2013 is the best part of my life aside the birth of my son and its such achievement i would never forget in my whole life representing my country and winning a gold medal it's really huge and looking at the gold medal every day gives me joy and i kept it in a very special place that many would not have access to or play with because i still want to show it to my grand children.

He Further said "Winning Mentality helped us greatly to conquer Africa in South Africa, after Ivory Coast game in the quater - finals Didier Drogba came to the dressing room and told us to go for the trophy, we are so much confident, because we believe the semi final against Mali is actually the final match, since Ghana was our major fear humbled by Mali and we have played Burkina Faso in group stage which we played 1-1, we conceded a goal we should not and we believe the final is an avenue to correct our mistakes which we did in grand style and we were crowned champion of Afrca.

"We also have a great Coach that will challenge, encourage and push you to do more because it is all about team work, no discrimination in Camp it is a situation of One big Family and you are expected to play from any positions as long as you contribute to the success of the team enthused Ideye.

"Despite the little support we are getting from the Federation we are able to put ourselves together united, we win together and we lose together, we don't wait for any 30, 000 dollars winning bonus, it is the Coach and the Captain that negotiate, our focus is just on the trophy because it is a thing of worry for us in this country, we don't have exceptional players like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Kylian Mbappe that can run with the ball or dribble one on one or free kick specialist and that is why we have stick with our playing philosophy of togetherness and Team work says Brown Ideye.

Former West Bromwich Albion in England and Greek Side Olympiacos, The God Fearing Player Brown Ideye, the Ajegunle born and father of two boys who believed it is the grace of God that has taking him thus far in his choosing career, who narrowly missed out of the Final list to Brazil 2014 and 2018.

After several attempt by his mum to stop him from playing, but his wife has being the supporting pillar who she consult before taking any decision, he decline saying anything about his non inclusion with the team to Russia but said "we have a good team, young and fast but lack of experience and maturity cost us greatly in Russia and he personally sponsored members of Nigeria Football Supporter's Club to Russia.
