The Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, has advised the Super Eagles player to go into Monday international friendly against the Simba of DR Congo with caution and set mind not to sustain any career threatening injury which may stop them from playing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup which is just 17 days away.

He said as the Supporters Club and other Super Eagles supporters troop out to motivate the team to victory, it will be wise they play with caution to avoid any form of injury that could stop any of the players to the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Ikpea also expressed disappointment over the injury sustained by Egyptian talisman, Mohammed Salah, in a Uefa Champions League final playing for his club, Liverpool FC of England.

There are fears that Salah may not be making it to the 2018 World Cup finals because of the shoulder injury he cupped inflicted by Real Madrid’s Sagio Ramos harsh tackle 18 days to the World Cup.

“Egyptian and Liverpool Mohammed Salah injury in yesterday’s Uefa Champions league final is a major setback to Africa chance of winning the Russia World Cup. And it should be a lesson to Nigeria World Cup squad as they host DR Congo on Monday”.
