The National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers NANPF, the official Nigeria Players Union affiliated to the Nigeria football Federation and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, condemn the call by the Illegal players Association by the name National Association of Nigeria Footballers.
NANF demanding for the cancellation of the Nigeria Super Eagles game with the Democratic Republic of Congo national team in Port Harcourt as unwarranted
It is unfortunate that some media houses had gone ahead to give this illegal body undue publicity without carrying out any form of due and diligent check, on the status of this so called players body.
We are at a lose at this development and advice that nobody should take the demand of this illegal body serious.

There are statutory institutions like the Federal Ministry of health and other sister agencies vested with the responsibility to investigate, and check all those coming into the country, this time, the DRC players and officials and make pronouncement on such sensitive issues as the Ebola matter

NANPF The players Union is not unaware of the various moves orchestrated by some individuals within the industry bent on frustrating the activities of the Players Union, giving fake impression that there is division or polarisation of the players Union in the Country for their selfish interest. We therefore advice all stakeholders to take note
