Coach Edith Agoye celebrates a goal
with so much energy

Shooting Stars football club hosted Bayelsa United in Matchday 4 of the Nigeria National League the second tier league in the country at the Lekan Salami Sports complex, Adamasingba - Ibadan.


The much talked encounter was expected to be entertaining, considering the number of quality players both teams have in their camp. But it was a one sided affairs from the blast of the whistle till the end of affairs

The Oluyole Warriors left many fans flabbergasted with their thrilling performance that earned them the deserved 4 -0 thumping of the visiting team. 

Their victory was richly and thoroughly deserved which made them occupy the Number *1* spot on the B2 league table with 7 points from three games, scored 5 goals and yet to concede any.

Coach Edith Agoye beaming with confidence about his lads performance after the game expressed himself that the convincing victory over Bayelsa United and being the first team in southwest to score 4 goals in a single match is as a result of collective efforts, 

"It was a fantastic victory for us today because we have being trying and trying and sincerely it worked for us today, we really played like a team today and boys really showed character, played with so much confidence from the goalkeeper to the last man in attack.

He further said "I have to thank our number 12th player the fans, they really gave their support even when things were not going the way we want they never relent their numerous support and i will just implore them that Agoye' can not do it alone, shooting stars is a big club that requires the backing of the fans, management and the government for us to be able to return the club to where it rightfully belong. 

In-form Oluyole warriors are poised with sheer confidence which can only be brought about by the rich vein of form which has seen them cruise past opponents quite effortlessly in the last 3 matches, as they make the long journey to delta, home of J. Atete who occupies the 5th position on the league table having played 4 games winning 1, Draw 2 and Lose 1 trailing 2 points behind league leaders.
