Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC 19-year old forward, Stephen Odey, has been listed in the Goal.com African Team of The Month (TOTM) for March alongside Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez and Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It was indeed a month to remember for Odey who is the leading top scorer in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season with 14 goals from 14 games. He was one of Africa's and Nigeria's top performers in March scoring five goals from six matchdays. His exploit in front of goal earned him a place in the squad of the month.
Speaking to his team's official website Odey said: "I'm really happy for this. I feel so happy to be ranked among the best players in Africa.
"I want to appreciate my teammates and the coaching crew led by Fidelis Ilechukwu for the support on and off the pitch.
"My sincere appreciation goes to Dr D.K Olukoya the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries for repositioning the life of the youths through football. I don't think I will be where I am today if not for his love for the youth," he told mountaintopfc.com.
